First Friday - Toyland

Nicholas was quick to remind me that this Friday was another First Friday.  It was the last one of the year and the theme was Toyland, so of course we had to go.  The weather was cold and blustery, but we bucked up.  We decided to take a couple of pictures while no one was around during lunch.  We came back later that night to check everything out.  The toy suppliers were showing off all their new toys for the holiday season, as well as giving away free samples.  It was crazy busy, but kinda neat.  We didn't stay long.  Did I mention it was COLD?

Our favorite exhibit was Lego.  How cool is this?

I seriously considered using this for our Xmas cards this year.

Another First Friday

It was another First Friday on the Bentonville square, so Heidi and I decided to take the kiddos out there for lunch. If you've never been there, you should check it out. It was good fun.

There were food vendors, live music and a few small activity tents for the kids. We didn't do much other than eat and let the kids get their face painted and play around the water fountain. It was sweltering. Heidi and I shared a philly cheese steak and what seemed like 5lbs of fries. The kiddos munched on foot long corndogs and sipped on yummy lemonade and limeade. We topped it off w/ dessert. Ice cream for the girls and a dirt cake from Kupcakes for Nick. The kids were in heaven I'd say. Next time we're trying the crepes.

She was so good and didn't complain once.

I love this picture of Nick and Hanna.

Check out the difference in quality in their paintings. Nick had his done by an 8 y/o kid. In case you couldn't tell, those are balloons on his face.

Always happiest when he's eating his sweets.

One hot little mess!

Sweet little Hanna. Isn't she beautiful?

First Fridays

Once a month the Bentonville square holds an event called First Fridays. This was our first outing. We will definitely come back. Nicholas loved it, enjoying the food and music. He put on quite a show for those around us. Abby enjoyed people watching. Scott and I enjoyed the yummy food and watching Nick. I did not take a picture of it, but Scott and Nick shared a dessert of fried Twinkies and fried Snickers. You can imagine my horror and Scott's bliss.
