Father's Day

Well, Father's day came and went. It was nothing special. Just kidding! We love and appreciate all the Daddies out there, especially ours!

We did keep Father's day low key, per Scott's wishes. As usual, our celebrations revolve around food. Chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, pizza for lunch and burgers for dinner. And let's not forget that ah-mazing rainbow cake! We just hung out doing nothing in particular, just enjoying each other's company. Part of the day was spent in the back in Nick's pool.

Nick's gifts for Scott this year were a couple of t-shirts, an old school Pepsi logo and a Buddha Sushi (not familiar w/ this.) What he really wanted to get for Scott was an orange Crush t-shirt. But I convinced Nick to let me have that one instead. I think Scott owes me one.

We love you Daddy!!

Lunch With Daddy

One of my fondest memories growing up was bringing lunch to my Dad at his work. He would come out to the car and eat while my brothers and I would hang out the windows or sit on the hood. Good times.

So I thought it would be fun to have the kids bring lunch to Scott at his office instead of meeting at a restaurant like we normally do. We plopped down in the middle of Scott's office, pulled up a box and had ourselves a little picnic. Nick was sooo happy (despite his expressions in the pictures below.) He just loved the idea of a picnic in Daddy's office and was almost giddy. Afterwards, we all took a stroll down the walking trail by his office. It was nice. I think we'll be doing this often.

This is why I love my husband, he does stuff like this w/ our kids.

Gnawing on a french fry.

He really did enjoy himself.

Happy Birthday Old Man!!

Today is Scott's birthday. I won't say how old he is, but to quote Nick, "he's old." We love him anyway.

He is a wonderful daddy. He teaches our kids perspective, patience, empathy, honesty, and loyalty by example everyday. He is a wonderful husband. He eats my cooking and never complains, always telling me it's my best yet. He washes the dishes w/out my asking. He helps me put the kids to bed every night. He unloads the dishwasher. He wisely ignores my backseat driving, most of the time. Most of all, he makes me laugh.

Happy Birthday, Sweetie!!

(look how handsome he is!)
